We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and making a minimal impact on the environment through our environmental practices which include:
- Holding a Gold membership of the Supply Chain Sustainability School.
- Being an independently certified ISO14001 environmental management system
- Working with suppliers and partners that have sustainable products, processes and responsible attitudes.
- Minimising the impact of travel – we have a multiple occupancy travel policy, have locally based Site Management and Painters and a fully electric or hybrid company car fleet.
- Waste disposal and recycling – we limit the disposal of waste and aim to recycle whenever possible including through the relevant manufacturers recycling schemes. Where appropriate, spray application of paint is used to limit waste. We use the innovative ‘Washbox’ system to clean tools and treat wastewater on site.
- We use our STORY OFFSITE spray facility where possible to minimise wastage, reduce labour and welfare provision on site, thereby reducing our carbon footprint.
