We undertake regular workforce development reviews to ensure that training needs are identified, and deliver additional upskilling as required. We strive to ensure that all staff have achieved the industry standard CSCS status and as such they are equipped with the highest level of safety awareness and technical competence.

Every January we close the company down for one day and take all staff offsite for our Story “Startright” day. This day is informal and gives everyone the chance to see faces we may not have seen before due to the geographical spread of our work. Employees are given feedback on things such as how the previous year went, plans for the future, pipeline of work and sometimes we even have some fun! The day ends with our annual award ceremony, the prestigious Story Gold Awards, after we’ve all been fed of course!!
